Hank - are you familiar with BioteQ? They have a solution for acid mine drainage that in many cases operates at a profit by extracting metal(s) in the process of treating the water. They've built plants for Phelps Dodge, Falonconbridge, Breakwater and are in various stages of development with Inco, Jiangxi Copper, Placer Dome, Codelco and others. I realize that I used the names of companies which have been subsumed, but they started the efforts before the mergers.

p.s. BQE.V looks like it is preparing to blast through $2, btw.

Summitville Colorado is also a bad site. Former owners are still active in the mining industry, very wealthy and stay out of the US for fear they will be arrested. IMO some of that wealth should be used to clean up the mess in Colorado. I do not invest in cos the previous owners now own on basis of principle. it has cost me a lot of potential profit!

That would be Robert Friedland (presently of Ivanhoe) and his then Galactic Resources.

BTW...Ivanhoe mines (IVN.t) just announced last night that they lost $ 66,400,000 in Q3.

Hank,
That was a very clear explanation of cleanup etc. for those of us who really have very limited knowledge. One reason I cannot comment on the global warming idea or the way mines should be handled. I know very little.

I can only comment from the perspective that this is the only earth we have so let's take care of it the best we can and preserve it for the future.

We all know that one and who owned it and I do not invest in any of his mining projects either for exactly the same reasons.

I also did not eat table grapes for about 25 years because Ceaser Chaves told us not too and then he died without lifting the ban (I made the last part up-lol).

I never did find out if or when he lifeted the ban, but I did not eat any for many many years-lol.

Red wine was OK-lol.
