Part of the "evolutionary process" is for people such as myself to speak out against brutes and savages. "Basic human nature" is not singular. It occupies a wide spectrum between brutality and harmony. If we were speaking of food instead of conduct, I would say "let us plant some beans and make the world better." You would simply stand there with a stupid poleaxed look in your eyes, and perhaps mutter: "Starving is basic human nature" You really take the cake, DAK!
