A very good friend of mine was born in Harlingen Texas. She said that as far back as she can remember (50+ years) they have always had signs in Spanish as well as English. Nothing now over there, it's just creeping it's way up and out.

A friend of mine is from Central California.

He said when he was growing up, his dad threatened to "put a tortilla on my radio antenna and drive north until no one knows what it is. That's where I'm going to settle."

I don't think he ever followed through.

signs in Spanish as well as English
