Well then we agree (it seems) on two things. 1) broadly stated principles do not an effective policy make. In fact, they become mere platitudes that can be picked up by politicians to spew when needing applause to punctuate their empty rhetoric. 2) When not based on sound principle agendas for change and renewal will be hammered into dust. So, establish sound principle, formulate the details of application, and implement. If you allow that there are no cure alls and the nature of our world and politics is not likely to change, are you still willing to champion such a noble cause?
