The Sullivan mine at Kimberley B.C. ranks as one of the greatest mines ever discovered and developed.

"During its 92 years of operations, the mine produced ore containing almost eight million tonnes of zinc, more than eight million tonnes of lead and 280 million ounces of silver with a combined value of approximately $20 billion."

Alas, it has come to an end.

There is stuff out there. If we had a million dollars, we would be rich. No, no, really there are thingies out there from 10 to 60 million tons in Canda with about 5% + zinc plus other metals. Not that bad. Story is accessibility, ownership etc.. There are not GREAT show stoppers in the mix, but there are stories. Needs guts. Needs positive thinking.

Cominco wanter to develop the Big Ledge. Was going to take 800 million. Needed a deal from the BC gov to get it going to take to Trail Smelter. No did. Went and did the Red Doggie instead. BL was about 30 or 60 million tons. Dunno zackly. Grade I am fuzzsy on. Was not THAT great. There about a 12 of them in the area. 60-40. Now that zinc if King, they would ALL be somewhat doable. If you had a smelter. But Cominco is daid, Jim. Teck, well, they are not as aggressive. They got big Zinc. Would rather enjoy the price.

I could do biggie zinc, I think. I know a coupla deposits. But it takes biggie capital. I looked into one and still looking. Don't know really. Might be a dead end, but it may go somewhere. There are issues. I don't know about any of them being total show stoppers. Capital is more than a dollar. Road is 8.5 million. Buyout is a few shekels. Development a small wad of change. Committments are in the 8 figures. But Mining is not for the faint of heart.
