"... All of these politicians need to check their own closets for skeletons..."

Why, shame on you, mph! Don't you know that she, like Clinton before her, promised "the most ethical congress in American history?"

Who are we, us mere mortals, to doubt that promise?

I hasten to say that I don't know whether Nancy's vineyard (apparently sold in 2003) actually utilized the services of
illegal immigrants or failed to maintain a proper payroll.

A local orchardist (actually one of the largest private growers in the world) had to let 15 tons of apples rot on the ground this year.

Couldn't get the labor needed to pick his apples.

Ah counselor, no need for caveats. I knew you weren't making assertions of fact.

:-)

Besides I was being sarcastic mice elf <gg>. And there's plenty of circumstantial evidence to allow for some supposition.

Now, this is something that simply makes my eyes roll & my head shake vigorously...

<< "I only raise these issues because, with the changeover of Congressional control, there seems to be a tsunami of proposed investigations brewing . The irony in all this includes Pelosi's dogged support for Murtha. All of these politicians need to check their own closets for skeletons before they get too swept up in the collective thirst for vengeance which is currently being thinly masked as an olive branch for cooperation.<g>" >>

That is like of Darth Vader calling Jabba the Hut unethical.

They had two vineyards - I think they still have the larger of the two. Ah yes, see 53552 by Mr Lucky.

"very wealthy people have a tendency to cut corners, regardless of their political persuasion."

I disagree. Most wealthy people realize that they have much to lose and try harder than most people to avoid cutting corners. At least that is my experience.
