FWIW, when I called the company, they pointed out that their neighbor operates the largest open pit gypsum mine in the world (or maybe just North America now). It's a big-ass open pit, and they haven't had any environmental issues.

Given that backdrop, I don't think Acadian will have any environmental problems with their relatively small open pit for the zinc. The gold mines shouldn't be too much trouble, either, unless the environmentalists have a much bigger problem with gold than they do gypsum.

ogi, thanks much for your info and experience on ADA. I alway read
your posts carefully. Made me hesitate a bit but as the buy
pressure was so obvious I let the mkt take the day.

But we need to know both sides of these plays and tend to see
only the sunny side. Thanks.
