We had an attack in the U.S. in 1993 and then we didn't have another one until 2001, so saying the Republicans have kept us safe for five years doesn't seem all that extraordinary.

There have been two attacks in Europe, since 2001. Some would say that the Bush policies helped to incite those attacks.

I think Port Security is a vitally important issue that the Republicans have not addressed. The Democrats say they are going to make it a priority, so we'll have to wait and see.

"successful security provisions"....We really don't know how successful our current security provisions really are. I think our government's response to Katrina showed that all the Cogs of Homeland Security aren't necessarily meshing all that efficiently right now.
