"Speculators continue to run over commercials, at least for now." But why is this so? There are two reasons for why speculators are doing this. (1) Strong uptrend --in force since July (2) Strong seasonals --Fall before 3rd year in election cycle This kind of opportunity to make money from the long side comes along once every 4 years and, despite popular belief, the state of the housing market is irrelevant here. There is no need to be persistently one-sided (and wrong) on this market.
