CJ, > Granted, that would be spaced out over a century or so, but it would have to be done. What would be the cost of moving greater LA, New York City, Silicon Valley? Just to name 3.

Over the space of a century? Not that much. I've seen cities in Korea built from swamplands in the space of four years. Even Inchon, once the landing spot for MacArthur's marines, is now a booming metropolis, the new international gateway to Korea.

Personally, I think the effect will be that sea levels might rise a foot over the course of my lifetime. You know, enough to drown out the Marshall Islands (without levees, of course) but not enough to cause the relocation of all the coastal cities in the world.
