Reducing CO2 emissions is a lot bigger problem than replacing coolants. If it costs 8 times as much to energy sources that emitted little or no CO2 than it would be an economic disaster.

Fortunately its likely that a lot of energy can be produced at costs noticeably less than eight times the cost of fossil fuels, but its still a massively expensive and difficult effort, esp. if you try to make a rapid change.
