Namely, at what point does the unborn fetus begin to have rights, separate from the rights of the mother? That isn't the only concern of the Catholic church. They also bring in issues based on their understanding of sexual morality, and of "being open to conception" and birth control (and abortion) being and the church's view of the design God built into the human race. catholic.com Few of those arguments will get much support outside of the Church. Well maybe from other religions that have a similar opinion.
