I know geologists from neuva skosha that swear there is not a single grain of gold in the whole province (now mostly owned by merikans.). There is some oil. there are some lobsters, and smallish fish. a few birds. the odd salmon. here and there a cow grazes beneath a mournful sky. an unemployed fisherman in dirty oilers skips a rock across the water. a seagull cries. a dilapitated sign, once creaking on one hinge suddenly crashes to the dirt road in the main drag of the once bustling town, docks piled high with lobster pots in disrepair. An old codger with oversized rubber boots and a captains hat, smoking a corn cob pipe upside down wanders by and say's "hello stranger, you new around here ... not much goin' on, eh?" "no, no, haven't seen much action for a while round here... why you could shoot off the whole magazine of a gun up and down main street on any given day and not hurt a fly.." nueva skosha suggests the ghosts of the past who unseen but felt whirl about the streets of commerce of yesterday, amidsts the drifting leaves and grimy store fronts of the deserted city streets. but somewhere out there, there is a resource worth exploiting. not obvious, not huge, hard to prove, harder to mine, but possibly profitable. We may not find it soon, but find it we will. maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and it will be around for a long long time. there was place gold exploited in many spots in neuva skosha a while back. it must have been fair grade as it was never worked at a major scale. any idea boud dat?
