I think I am a bit of a dog whisperer and a dog shouter as well. I can usually make friends with most dogs and can figure out what my dog wants, and my daughters dogs go ape when they see me even after years.

Last summer I was walking on one of the back trails here in our neighborhood when a big golden retriever jumped a chain link fence and made like he was going to attack me. I simply rushed him and shouted "You get back in there!" That dog turned tail and jumped the fence back into his yard.

Some people across the trail were sitting on their back porch. Laughing, they said "That's the first time he's ever listened to anybody!"
