Not really looking forward to that, especially if the Democrats win the presidency. There are some crowing about the Republicans becoming a regional party, and that is dangerous if true. Now the Republicans have only themselves to blame, becoming Bush's doormat while putting together a looting machine with DeLay at the helm was the most transcendentally stupid thing in modern politics, but still. Single party rule is a siren's call to corruption, as we have seen. To make it worse, it usually means the politicians totally ignore the electorate while they ride their individual hobby horses.
