Thanks Patti. I have lived in or around Chicago all of my life and it has always been my belief, based on my personal observations, that the immigrant community works harder than the rest of us "natives." They wanted to come here and busted their humps to make it happen. Most of us are here as an accident of birth, and thank God for that accident. Some may game the system, but it is a small price to pay for their contribution. One of our strengths of the U.S. has been that we are always reinventing itself. Without immigrants who assimilate, and most of them do, we would be Europe. No thanks.
