Like I said, I wouldn't accept it at face value until I knew more about his methodology and where he got his source material.

If the source material was based on IRS statistics of itemized deductions for charity that is far from a complete picture.

The Founding Fathers worried about two groups threatening our democracy: some kind of elitist dictatorship (in those days monarchists, like King George) and orthodox Christianity groups, religious fanatics. Both of those are now part of the current Bush-cheney rightwing machine.

Notice the only domestic terrorist we've had of any size has been from the far rightwing. They are rednecks with too many guns and maybe too much crystal meth. They need to be minotored. Leftists are usually pacifists, though in the 60's some of them got angry enough to rob a few banks (foolishly).

The NRA goes to great lengths to disguise what it really is; the gun lobby profiting from more and more needless weapons in our society no matter how many people die from them. And a whites only rightwing political cult that could possibly be dangerous to the country. I am espedcially worried these days since crystal meth and oxicotin (Rush Limlaugh's drug) are common in the redneck scene, and definitely promote insanity and potential violance. Also the collapse of the Bush-cheney dream and disaster in Iraq may lead a lot of righties to go nutso.

Michael Moore has not been discredited. His films have actually been amazingly accurate. Sure he puts in some sarcastic personal commentary, but his facts are at least 95% sound. In fact the situation with Bush, Big Oil, Iraq and the Saudis turned out to be much WORSE than Moore presented in FAHRENHEIT 9-11. He under-estimated how evil and corrupt Bushies are, as did many.

The Police are mainly against the NRA and their pushing of cop-killer bullets and banana and drum magazines.

The NRA are a dangerous radical bunch who don't care how many people die. They proved that at Columbine by having their rally there right after the tragedy. And those kids would not have been able to get the weapons they did without the NRA.

The NRA are not what they claim to be. They are a replacement for the old KKK, though they have other agendas on top of being armed against the blacks. They are also a highly corruptive influence in our political system.

Gore may run. And Kerry would gladly run as his VP. Kerry doesn't have that big an ego. Where'd you hear that? He's actually pretty humble and down to earth. Basically he's very honest. He has a healthy ego but never boasts.

Total BS. The NRA is not about marksmanship and safety, it's about promoting military style weapons and concealed weapons permits for whites only, and massing huge profits for the gun industry. If it was just about marksmanship and safety nobody would have a problem with them.

So the NRA believes every American should have a machine-gun? What about a rocket launder? Or a tank? Where does the NRA draw the line? And why do they not have any black mambers?
