Poodles are without a doubt, the smartest dog I've ever seen. I've had two poodles, one black BoBo and one apricot, ToTo...they were both miniatures.

That seems to be the size dog I prefer. Not so small as to get stepped on and not so large as to knock you down.

But back to poodle's intelligence, every trick I taught them, they picked up in one or two nights at the most. They even taught themselves tricks and would demonstrate them when I got home from work...true story!

I had my little black poodle BoBo when I lived in Boston with three other roommates. We were all stewardesses but on different schedules so the dog was never alone. The few times we were all going to be away at the same time, the people in our building would fight over who got to dog sit.

They boys loved to take BoBo to bars, they said they met every girl in the place with BoBo along.

BOBO knew everyone in Boston, I swear he did. I'd walk him and total strangers would say, "I went sailing with BoBo last week-end!" He had a better social life than I had...
