I have one of those old crank phones, except mine has a one piece receiver like a regular dial phone. I wanted that kind because it was like the ones that I had actually used and serviced phone line for in my early years.

What a wonderful story, R~~ The old phones are so similar to the one my Grandparents had....They had a 4 party line for a long time, and eventually paid a bit more and had one with only 2 parties.... It wasn't nearly as much fun for us kids, because we didn't get to listen in on as much gossip from the neighbors! <gg>
