< I love cruising; instant relaxation. > Agree! We went to the usual St. Thomas, Tortola, with the exception of Grand Turk.....

They told us that we were the 2nd ship into the Grand Turk port. (Holland America has been bought out by Carnival).....Micky Arison, CEO Carnival has build the docks at this port along with a shopping area, and a Jimmy Buffet bar with swimming pool......He constructed a beautiful white beach with beach chairs and umbrellas just as you get off the boat.....nice and clean......no begging, etc. A few people went into town but not many. I stayed around the bar, then back on board. I find some of the best relaxing times is staying on the boat when everyone is ashore......

Last Spring I saw a cruise that leaves Ft. Lauderdale to New York for three days then to Europe, can't find it now, maybe next spring when they start the repositioning.

Have a good weekend,
