I don't believe we have an import duty on oil. If so, that would be telling of where the gov't's priorities are.

I'm all for that. I'd remove the subsidy on American ethanol, and remove the barriers to imports. If it makes ethanol competitive, then more ethanol will be used, and I don't have a problem with that. If ethanol is still not competitive, then so be it.
