As I pointed out --- the charge under discussion, the Federal regulation concerning interfering with foreign government affairs --- is NOT one of the several hundred crimes on the federal list of death penalty eligible offenses. TREASON of course, IS... but there, as with every other offense, there must first be a CHARGE, a TRIAL, and a CONVICTION. (Unlike the old Soviet-style system... as I pointed out to Shorty.)
