Did you see where Blair acknowledged that the invasion of Iraq was a "disaster"? Wonder what made him change his mind?

Media capitalizing on a quip from him. It goes something like this:

Q: You must agree the invasion of Iraq has been a disaster?

A: Yes, but blah blah blah blah standard answer.

He said Yes (probably without thinking) rather than No to begin his reply, and the media is pouncing on it. The media is making it sound like he wanted to give a speech including the view that the invasion has been a disaster, when all he did was begin a reply to a question with "Sure, but....."

Yeah, but then he blamed it on the insurgents. In other words, he and Bush were not the blame at all.

Wonder what made him change his mind?

He had no choice. His popularity has plummeted in Britain. After his PM position ends shortly, he will still be an MP in Parliament. If he wants to get anything done then, he needs to clean up his act now.
