My son came home and said some idiot liberals at his school said millions will drown because of Global warming, he asked how fast is the water gonna rise? They said inches a year, he said, who the hell would drown, people in wheel chairs that are stuck in the sand.

You are so incredibly ignorant. Climate change doesn't follow a straight line, it trends.

For three year olds and those who think like them:

Think about the housing market. Housing prices are coming down in many markets this year because of a glut of building and rising mortgage rates and the popping of the speculative bubble. Does that mean housing will get cheaper year after year until it hits zero dollars? Are houses likely to be more expensive in 50 years even if their prices are trending down this year?

Price zig and zag but the TREND is upwards. That doesn't mean that prices are always going to be higher than the year before.

It doesn't matter WHAT you think or WHAT you believe because reality will be upon us soon enough. Can people change the future? The development along the Gulf Coast, the destruction of the natural vegetation likely exacerbated the effects of Katrina. Let the vegetation come back and the next hurricane may not be as destructive.

Of course humans have a big effect on this planet. There are 6.5 billion of us eating and making messes and pulling things out of the earth and putting things into the air every single minute of every single day. You think that doesn't have an effect?

Rightwingers believe that humans are so superior to every other living creature yet you guys refuse to accept and take responsibility for anything you do. Global warming is just another example of this uncivilized and rather juvenile attitude.
