why do i suddenly get the feeling that the US is building up its forces for Iran, while pretending to be cutting and running?

The Pentagon spokesman said they are art of the next rotation of the 144,000 strong US force there. The units include an army division HQ, five combat brigades and combat support and combat service units. About 10,000 are army reservists.
