Democrats are not. It was Reagan that took the solar things off of the white house. Republicans are regressive in this area because what they are interested in is profit. As long as oil is profitable they see no need to pursue alternative energies.

That is such a laughable red herring.

After 6 years of total republican control, what did they do to pursue alternative energies?

Not a damn thing.

The real question is why are republicans against getting off of foreign oil?
