That's why I had all of us check to see who wrote the article, and where it was from. Indeed, it should make all of us wonder what is being taught in not only Germany, but the EU countries...all of them.

Nazism is raising it's ugly head again....and this time it's called Islamofascist Nazism.

I wonder what the high school kids in Germany are being taught about Bush, et. al...yikes..

The suit was filed in Germany, not by Germany.

It was brought mainly by the Center for Constitutional Rights, a New York based organization.

CCR HAILS RUMSFELD'S RESIGNATION AS A FIRST STEP TOWARD ACCOUNTABILITY
CCR Will Charge Former Secretary With War Crimes In German Court Next Week

Synopsis

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's resignation on November 8th represents a first step toward accountability for the Bush Administration's widespread practices of torture and unlawful detention, said attorneys at the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR). Under Donald Rumsfeld's direction--often under his direct orders--the Department of Defense adopted the practices of torture and indefinite detention that CCR is currently challenging in many court cases.

The Center will be filing a new case charging him with war crimes under Germany's universal jurisdiction law together with the International Federation of Human Rights (FIDH), the Republican Attorneys Association (RAV) and others next week. CCR attorneys called on his successor to close Guantánamo and put an end to the unlawful torture and detention of thousands in the so-called war on terror.

The Center for Constitutional Rights represents hundreds of men detained at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba.

----------------------------------

Germany was chosen for the lawsuit because the country's legal system allows war crimes committed anywhere in the world - even if alleged perpetrators are non-Germans - to be tried by German courts.

It is not likely that the suit will go ahead. Germany's federal prosecutor refused to go ahead with a similar suit in 2004.

Rumsfeld Sued for Alleged War Crimes

Alleging responsibility for war crimes and torture at Baghdad's Abu Ghraib prison, a human rights group has filed a criminal complaint in Germany against US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and other top US officials.

The New York-based Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) and Berlin's Republican Lawyers' Association said they and five Iraqi citizens mistreated by US soldiers were seeking a probe by German federal prosecutors of leading US policymakers.

They said they had chosen Germany because of its Code of Crimes Against International Law, introduced in 2002, which grants German courts universal jurisdiction in cases involving war crimes or crimes against humanity.

Zeta and All....LOOK who is funding the Center for Constitutional Rights…..More than you probably want to know, but should…Look who is funding this VERY Left Wing organization… Go to the site, you can see who is on the Board, who is on the staff...and who is funding them. These are the very same people including Lynn Stewart who should be tried themselves on many different charges. The Rosenbergs were put to death after WWII for less than these people.
