When the Zionists made their pitch for land in Palestine, they said they simply wanted a "Jewish Homeland" and not a "Jewish State".

They put out such nonsense that Palestine was a land without people and they had no other option but to go there.

They illegally imported weapons (used them too) and foreign people to seize that land.
