About 5 hours after the shot------shot in left arm---extreme muscle pain all over, extreme fatigue, headache, congestion, temperature elevated about a 1 and half degrees.

This came as a surprise as I fully expected a sore arm.

Called the doctor who gave the shot he said to take tylenol and I would be better in two days.

No choice, did that and collapsed sleeping off and on for 24 hours. And, pushing all the liquid I could take in to keep hydrated and to clear my system.

Finally, the worst is gone but very muscularly fatigued-----so a 5 day reaction. This shot takes 2 weeks to full immunity.

I had never researched the ingredients in flu shots and people's reactions until I had this reaction.

From reliable medical sites I read about the ingredients that can be in a flu shot----mercury, thimersol, streptomycin, neomycin, gentamicin, eggs, formaldehyde----the one I had had the 1st 6 ingredients-----formaldehyde was not listed as an ingredient however I understand formaldehyde is in some flu vaccines.

Ironically, these are ingredients that many people are sensitive to particularly the elderly making it risky for some elderly people to have shot.

CDC has a form that you can fill in with the info regarding batch number, maker etc. if you have more than a sore arm, the expected usual.

That of course is where the "scientific" analysis can come in-----if the CDC gets enough reports of more than sore arms with a particular makers vaccine or a particular batch distributed in a given area, then a red flag should go up.
