That's one of the reasons I enjoy stories of the Pioneers...Women in particular. They saw a need, and just did it. No huge, complicated, hour and days long meetings....Just a meeting, and a will to get the job undone. Phoebe Goodell Judson, for instance, helped gather a force to untangle the Log Jam in their local river for instance, and tells about it in her book "Pioneer's Search for an Ideal Home"..... She must have been just an amazing force, and saw so much in her "humble" life. She crossed the Country in a Wagon Train in 1853, had a child "LaBonta" on the trail, and proceeded on to Oregon Territory, which was WA Territory by the time they arrived here. I do presentations about her, and her family. Most interesting group of people!!!
