Your wiggling around is pretty funny. First you try to argue that the Democrats are a regional party and exclude a lot of potential voters. Then you argue that the the only reason they won so big is that all the new candidates are conservatives. Which sort of blows holes in your thesis that the Democrats are a regional and exclusive party.

Yes, it is about the number of votes. But those votes need to be widespread. Just winning in the big cities isn't enough, they need to win in rural areas too. Which they did.
