There are few things more dangerous for the Republicans than that. Because once they start to stray from straight ticket Republican, then they are going to be more open to splitting their ticket in the future. That is how much of the South wound up in the pocket of the Republicans. They started to drift because of integration and once they got comfortable not automatically Democratic...
