Using anecdotes as proof is pseudoscience. They may be outliers, they may be confused cause and effect. There might be even a placebo effect going on.

I'm no fan of the FDA. In the Bush admin., they seem to have become a facilitator for the Big Pharma to get new drugs to market, and are run by former Big Pharma execs.

But they have to be compared to OTHER nation's equivalent agencies. When you do that, they still seem better than the competition.

Do you think the FDA scientists are stupid??? They are expert at running controlled experiments and analyzing data. And it was your Aunt Tilly I was referring to, not mine.
