I agree...that's why Kerry would be the Dems best choice for 2008. <g> Pres Giuliani here we come. Of course, Rudi would make easy work of Hillary as well. We need to find a running mate who would satisfy the far right.

Wow..the following (by a poster on a local board who was a rabid supporter of Dem candidates during the recent election) shows Giuliani's broad appeal to voters:

Would the Republicans ever nominate someone like Rudy Giuliani? As an independent voter, I would consider voting for him (way to early to tell). I think he would attract alot of the "Reagan Democrats" who helped dismantle the GOP last week.
He's extremely popular, tough on crime, and I'm sure would be even tough on terrorism. After 9/11, he proved that he has everything that George Bush doesn't in terms of leadership.

The biggest problem, though, is that he is Pro-Choice. Will the Christian Right, who in my opinion has a stranglehold on the GOP, allow someone like that to be nominated? If they learned any lessons from this year, its that America wants to move towards the center. The Democrats learned that; have the Republicans?<<
