I have to drain mine dry at the end of the season and stuff a rag in the carb. If I don't, it won't start the next year.

gas should be ok if not subject to over 80 degree temps. mine kicks over every year without stabilizer as garage never gets over 80 , i lose cold air through the bedroom floors and ducks so garage gets to stay cool in hot weather.
