Indeed you did answer the questions and thanks for all the detail.

Selling only covered calls against stock is a somewhat different game than selling naked puts although of course related, and some do both. I tend to sell in-the-moneys wanting to be called when I sell calls, and out-of-the-money when selling short puts, wanting [primarily] not to be assigned.

Hello All,
I am new to options and would like to know if there are any good informational links on the tax treatment of call or put writing. I've owned Q for several years now and would like to generate some extra income. But I have no idea how to account for the premiums. Thank you all for your posts... I learn from them!
