There is concept in Islam that of a lesser evil and a bigger evil..

Iranian leadership is acceptable to Alqaeda as this is one of the only country that can provide sanctuaries of Alqaeda tentacles to grow, Iranians see as an opportunity that they are a pariah state part of axis of evil and can get away with fifth column training, the nuisance value of Iran increase and as the vote pattern suggests that insular western powers will probably leave the region on its own, unable to secure changes.

The recent vote has demonstrated that western change in policy is in offing, everyone is seeing appeasement round the corner, and what needs to be done is to get a the evil under one head they can later settle their 1400 year old bloody disputes and squabbles but at the moment Iran will get their nukes, Alqaeda will save their leadership from annihilation and Hezbollah’s and Hamas can provide the necessary deflections for Iran to continue this great strategy of Shiite resurgence. The demographic will help them, the Shiites like Palestinians are growing in numbers al around the peninsula and the Tafkirists will one day have to face the Shiite nuclear Iran that will call them to submission, however the urgency is now the terrorists are being pursued in totality and the sanctuaries were being eliminated all this is about to change we go back to 1992-2001 era where we will detach now for greater problems to evolve in future, WTC was plane in relative calms of 1995-2001 era, give them space collectively they can make Afghanistan out of the whole region, fighting a war against enemies of freedom is a difficult sell I realise it now,

Like an ostrich the new left is passing the danger to its next generations..

You have inspired me, let me work a good artilce on it with my limitations, thanks a lot for asking the right questions..

Is Bush Jr now under the watchful eye of his big daddy??

Seymour in New- Yorker-

The only reason Gates would take the job, after turning down an earlier offer to serve as the new Director of National Intelligence, the former high-level C.I.A. official said, was that “the President’s father, Brent Scowcroft, and James Baker”—former aides of the first President Bush—“piled on, and the President finally had to accept adult supervision.”

Critical decisions will be made in the next few months, the former C.I.A. official said. “Bush has followed Cheney’s advice for six years, and the story line will be: ‘Will he continue to choose Cheney over his father?’ We’ll know soon.” (The White House and the Pentagon declined to respond to detailed requests for comment about this article, other than to say that there were unspecified inaccuracies.)

A retired four-star general who worked closely with the first Bush Administration told me that the Gates nomination means that Scowcroft, Baker, the elder Bush, and his son “are saying that winning the election in 2008 is more important than the individual. The issue for them is how to preserve the Republican agenda. The Old Guard wants to isolate Cheney and give their girl, Condoleezza Rice”—the Secretary of State—“a chance to perform.” The combination of Scowcroft, Baker, and the senior Bush working together is, the general added, “tough enough to take on Cheney. One guy can’t do it.”
