I met a friend yesterday who had given up smoking. He's actually eating now and feels so good. He and his wife gave it up together about three months ago. He told me he's gained twenty pounds. I looked at him and laughed. "Where" I asked. He is the hardest working slimmest gentleman I know, and about six feet tall. He leaned forward and grabbed his waist... he had to lean forward to grab any flesh..."Here" he said... "Right here"... I laughed more... He leaned over and grabbed it again and said he showed it to his wife.. he told me he told his wife, "Look Honey! I've passed the pinch test!" Then he told me, "she was not amused"

I keep laughing, even today! He did relate that he couldn't take any half-way measures. It was either smoke or not smoke. He indicated the first two weeks were 'hell' for both of them.

The one thing he is really ecstatic over is that he can breathe more easily... He wants his lungs to go back to normal healthy lungs.. that's his project :)

I thought of you and your return to non-smoking.

Good luck with 'hell', Gloop! <wink> It will be worth it!
