Half the trade deficit would disapper if we solved our oil imporation problem. Not only that, but we could also cut the military funding that is dedicated to protecting the oil supplies and perhaps redirect that money to helping the homeless and creating jobs that are productive.

We have no leadership regarding our oil problem (now over 60% of our oil comes from other countries). Even Bush now admits that Iraq is being occupied to protect the oil from "unfriendlies". That is Bush's energy policy in a nutshell.
