Yes, and thanks for asking.

I talked to my older brother last evening------he refuses to get flu shots-----he gets the pneumonia shot but not the flu.

When he worked at a computer firm in Dallas he was threaten with being fired because he refused to take the shot. He was lead man in the lab and his boss thought better of it and he did not get the shot.

That was when they were using live viruses for shots.

The question for me is whether I got a bad shot, a bad batch, or whether I am allergic to one of the ingredients.

I have a call in to doctor-----they are sending the info.

CDC does monitor reactions to the vaccines so if it is a bad batch they will be able to assess that.

I am pursuing this.

Maker was Sanofi Pasteur of Pennsylvania.

I have started researching the web and found this-------

fda.gov

Reading this one realizes how difficult it is to manufacture these vaccines in sanitary conditions. Good to know that the inspectors are on the job.

I got to this by entering "2006 flu vaccine recalls"

Want to do my research on the net before calling the company or filing a reaction report with CDC. I simply want to get to the bottom of why the reaction.

I am writing as much as anything to document this saga-------

if you get tired of this, put me on ignore. lol

Contacted Sanofi and filed report with CDC-Vaers and contacted doctor.

This site has an article documenting contamination at the Saniofi plant in Penns. that manufacturer the shot I got-----

cidrap.umn.edu

According to the article above the contaminated vaccines in Penns. were due to a contaminant in the eggs in which the vaccine was incubated. The article doesn't say what the contaminats were.

This article goes back to earlier 2006.

NOte. I am not saying that the vaccine I had is associated with this----------the only similarity is that it is the same manufacturer.
