I think it is true. I remember reading the same thing shortly after the war started, that the President had not attended any funerals for fallen military personnel. I have not seen anything since to the contrary. It typifies the elitist mentality of the ruling elite in Washington. Fight our wars, but do not expect us to be there for you in your time of need. The same mentality leads to the abandonment of veterans once they are stateside.
