That sounds about right. They are already gearing up to blame the democrats. Maybe that's the plan. Maybe that's why they let democrats win in Nov. It did feel somewhat like a stand down compared to 2000 and 2004, in terms of all the little dirty tricks they use to win elections.

I can tell you what BUSH'S plan for Iraq is. It's to stay there until he's out of office, so he can blame the eventual defeat on the "lack of will" of the NEXT guy.

That's providing the "next guy" isn't another Nixon who'll feed another bunch of Americans into a hopeless quagmire for HIS ego.


I would be willing to bet that Bush's plan become whatever recommendation comes out of the Baker commission, and I'll bet the Baker commission's recommendation is pretty different from what has gone on (not much??) for the past 2-3 years in Iraq.

We shall see.
