If that little parable is true, then why is non-discretionary government spending under a republican congress and a republican president up 9% this year? That is NINE percent..the largest percentage increase since Johnson..... Are you sure the true ending of the story wouldn't be that the next day the barber opened his shop and the republican had expanded the shop in ways not needed, borrowed the money to do so and asked only for the vote of the barber in return?
