Oh, I don't disagree about the democrats...it is funny and on point...but the distinction between saying a "conservative" might have left the self- help books vs. a republican doing so is my point.......tell me, please, when the last time a republican in power was interested in balancing the budget, creating smaller government (so those books could be used, rather than relying instead on a new government program created by some earmark).....

The republicans and democrats have faults....but the republicans in power over the past ten years have swayed so far from the principles they used to stand for, the joke doesn't even make sense to me right now...and I bet to others.

Republicans of the past ten years look way more like democrats than some democrats. they sure don't look like Goldwater republicans.
