The Padilla case evidences the problem with granting government the unfettered right to determine who is an enemy of that government.

Padilla is not some urban hero, but he is a citizen of the United States. If it turns out he was set up by two informants, one a drug dealer and one who has recanted....and he lost five years of his life on that alone....don't we need to question just what rights we want our government to have?

Perhaps some posters on this thread would feel differently if President H. Clinton or President Obama were making such determinations...

And perhaps they would feel exactly the same way.
