You totally missed his point. Draft or no, when you fight a war, you are sentencing people to death or mutilation. With that in mind, you should only fight a war for very good reasons and only when all other means have been exhausted. War isn't a game.

Volunteers don't die? You think they volunteer because they don't care if they die?

Frankly, I think a volunteer army should make our leaders even more reluctant to start a specious war. The volunteers are very good people who place a lot of trust in their hands. In the present case, it was misplaced.
