I heard that the drug plans purposely complicate things by changing their offerings/prices every year. If you're not really, really careful you can get stuck with a lousy plan. This is pure Republican pork for drug companies which, I think, are now their largest contributors. I believe Bush went from BigSchlubEnron to BigSchlubPharma as his largest contributor last go around. I'm sure there are some Dems in the mix but the Medicare bill was pushed through in the dead of night with a ton of arm twisting by Republicans.
