In poker either the house charges a percentage, or they charge for the seat at the table.

I'm almost certain your wrong about black jack. I've seen from multiple sources that even with perfect play (but no card counting of any kind) the house still has a small advantage. I haven't actually tried to calculate the odds myself, it could be that its a wide spread myth that the house has the advantage over perfect correct play, but I don't think it is.

Blackjack is however one of the games where the houses margin is low. And of course card counting can turn the houses margin negative if you can do it, and get away with it.

Blackjack odds flow from the rules and can run anywhere from 5 % or 6 % disadvantage to less than one 1 %.

The Tuscany Inn in Vegas is one quaint and low key Best Western where the player has maximum opportunity. Also, the Mandalay Bay if you prefer swank and goggling.

Baccarat has a house advantage of 1.2%. It is a great game for using money management betting strategies. Probably better than blackjack as a pure betting scheme which is complicated by the double downs, and split pairs.

In Poker you play against the players and the house takes a rake and the dealer lives mainly off (fairly lucrative) tips. The percentage rake is much higher in lower limit games so play as high as you can afford and check the rake.

If you are 1% better than the average player (at your table!) you are (in effect) like a casino: You are EATING money! So write the Gambler's Book Store and quit your day job!
