Some video poker machines actually have a higher than 100% payout. But they only have the higher than 100% if you make the maximum bet and they only pay very slightly above 100$ in that case. I don't think they are common. Progressive payout slot machines can have over a 100% payout for plays when the payout is above a certain amount, but overall they will have a positive payout to the casino, since they only reach a high enough jackpot after a large enough amount of money is lost to the casino, and as soon as the big jackpot is paid, they are back to having a less then 100% payout.

It is worse than that! Generally, the signs read "UP" to whatever percent payback. This means that ONE machine in that bank of noise and chaos is going to take longer to get all your money!
