Spring and fall we get a lot of farm equipment on our two lane roads. They are wider than both lanes so we get used to looking for a driveway to pull into until they pass.

I just read in this morning's paper about the number of deer and elk that have been hit by cars already this fall. This time of year these animals are coming down from the high country for the winter. Just yesterday a man and a tiny baby were killed when their car hit a dead deer that was in the highway. Can't be careful enough, especially driving in the mountains.
